Master Naturalist Training – Open Application Period

Want to become a Texas Master Naturalist Volunteer? We are NOW accepting applications for this year’s training  class. Click this link for the application. Applications are due by Friday, July 28th by 5pm CST.  Classes will run from Thursday, August 10th through Thursday, November 2nd. We will have 2 Saturday field sessions. Public Lake Hike w/ Big Country Master Naturalists

Lake Abilene

Join us every 1st Saturday of the month out at Lake Abilene for a 5-mile hike guided by some of the Big Country Master Naturalist volunteers. The hike will start at 9am and usually finishes around noon. Be sure to bring water and to dress for the ever-changing weather. Dogs are allowed if on a leash. Don't forget to bring your 4-legged family member some water, too!
