Join us for our monthly public star party! We meet just before in the grassy area in front of the swimming pool. This is a come and go event so you can come at any point. A few of our Big Country Master Naturalists bring telescopes and locate various stars, planets and the moon and show those interested. The public is also welcome to bring telescopes if they have some. It’s a fun event!

If you’ve never been before, it’s a good idea to come before it gets too dark so you can see where we are set up. Also, dim your lights before heading into the area as the white lights interferes with our night vision. If you have a red light flashlight, that’s best. Come join us one month! We always have a good time. Be sure to check our Facebook page or Abilene State Park’s Facebook pages for any changes to this event due to the weather.
