Public Lake Hike w/ Big Country Master Naturalists

Join us every 1st Saturday of the month out at Lake Abilene for a 5-mile hike guided by some of the Big Country Master Naturalist volunteers. The hike will start at 9am and usually finishes around noon. Be sure to bring water and to dress for the ever-changing weather. Dogs are allowed if on a leash. Don't forget to bring your 4-legged family member some water, too!

The viewing starts shortly after dark but if you've never come to a star party it might be helpful to arrive shortly before so you can see where we are set up. Be sure to dress for the night temps and with all of our recent rain, be sure come prepared for some mosquitos because they are definitely out.

Join us for our monthly Saturday Seminars held the last Saturday of each month February through August 2023. Our July program has changed and will now be Helpful tips in the Garden. Learning about dry creek beds, different garden pathway options and drip irrigation. Doors open at 8:30 and the program starts at 9 and ends at noon.
